What are the different correction types and mountpoints offered by SPSLux?

SPSLux offers a wider range of correction types to support all rovers and geodetic applications. Please find below a description of the supported correction types, along with available message type(s).

Standard Code only correction for DGNSS applications needing only decimeter lever accuracy.

iMAX

Individualized Master Auxiliary Correction, uses a real reference station as the source for the network corrections.

VRS

RTCM 3.1,

RTCM 3.2 MSM5

 

Virtual Reference Station, represents the network to the rover as single simulated reference station with a short baseline length.

NEAREST

RTCM 3.1,

RTCM 3.2 MSM5

 

Nearest Station, single baseline correction for nearest reference station, does not apply network corrections or mitigate distance dependent errors.

StationName-RAW

 

RTCM 3.2 MSM5

 

Raw observations data stream form a single site (StationName) send out as Nullantenna.

Note:

Only iMAX, VRS and DGNSS correction types provide network corrections. NEAREST and StationName-Raw do not apply network corrections and should thus be used for RTK or post-process applications. 

If a network RTK correction is required, choosing between iMAX and VRS correction type depends on the technical specifications of your receiver. Modern rovers will support both types, appropriate rover settings assumed. Consider that both correction types provide equal positional accuracy and comparable convergence time. For your GNSS receiver settings, please contact your equipment supplier.

 

Important:

Some foreign reference stations in the SPSLux network do not provide BEIDOU data yet. The broadcasted network correction data, is calculated using a cell of at least five SPSLux stations. If one of the above-mentioned foreign GNSS stations is incorporated within this cell, only a network correction based on GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO can be provided, even if a mountpoint offering GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BEIDOU data is selected.

The above-mentioned correction types are streamed within a wide range of different mountpoints. A list containing the available mountpoints can be downloaded in form of a concise table, summarising information regarding mountpoint names, correction types, message types, satellite systems and connection settings.
